A premiação The Game Awards revelou os indicados para 2023, com Alan Wake 2 e Baldur’s Gate 3 liderando com 8 indicações cada. A lista inclui 112 jogos, indivíduos, equipes e eventos diferentes, abrangendo diversos gêneros e plataformas de jogos. A premiação celebra a inovação na indústria de videogames.

Após a introdução da categoria Melhor Adaptação em 2022, o crossover entre jogos e entretenimento continua a se aprofundar. Este ano, os seguintes filmes e programas de streaming estão indicados para Melhor Adaptação: Castlevania: Nocturno (Netflix), Gran Turismo (Sony Pictures), The Last of Us (HBO), Super Mario Bros. – o Filme (Illumination/Universal Pictures) e Twisted Metal (Peacock).
